Project description

The monitoring of the vital parameters of the patients is essential in a hospital environment. In intensive care or in the recovery room, doctors need accurate information about the partial oxygen saturation (Spo2), the heart rate and the temperature of their patients, to name just a few. Although the equipment that provides these vital parameters exists on the market, it is not within the reach of all small health facilities and hospitals in the Sub-Saharan African region. To help solve this problem, we have designed a Vital Signs Monitoring Monitor that provides information on the patient's temperature, heart rate, and partial oxygen saturation. It also permits the visualization of plethysmography curves on an LCD screen.
